Education

Our 5Cs of education represent Micro World definition of quality

This is our school’s proposed Badge. What do you think? The Crown means the apogee, the summit of student achievements; the Eagle represents our proud Seattle team, the Seattle Seahawks. The open book and pen denote academic seriousness. Our Motto is Facta Non-Verba, a Latin phrase meaning Deeds, not Words, or Action speaks louder than words. Now that our site is launched become a part of this positive movement.

EDUCATION IS PRECIOUS

More repair work going on

There is power in optimism and rugged determination. Please help with your donation. Thanks

We replaced rotten wood planks with cement and blocks.

We have a long way to go, like plastering, providing doors, windows, and some painting. Broken and wobbly desks are being repaired. Thank you.

PROCURED MORE IMPROVED DESKS

As the student population increases , so too do I spend on getting new mats, desks, tables and chairs.

When I bought the school, most classrooms were of this type on your left.

Teachers did not have a mini table and chair. Now they do.

Teasing you with our school's Flags

Classroom improvement is underway. A complete corrugated iron roofing will significantly help. We are getting there, and are really there with you. Your generous donation says so.

Finally, the Flags are hoisted (aloft).

Do you like the cloudy background?

This is for real, not photoshopped. The euphoria that day is palpable

Some Improvements

Can you spot some changes? 1. Concrete walls replaced wooden planks. 2. Two new desks. What other facelifts could you suggest? We are not asking for expensive edifices, just comfortable and safe places to learn.

Please click on the donate button and show us that change is possible. Thank you.

More Celebration and recognition

Unity is strength. Celebrating the marriage between the USA and Ghana.

Students lined up for final exam

On the Right: After four years of high school, it all boils down to a final exam, followed by graduation and entry into universities, technical or vocational schools, or entering the job market with their certificates and skills.

Here, students, some nervous, wait nervously, determined not to be seen as failures but as accomplished individuals. I've been there and experienced that. This is the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

An army marches on its stomach. Lunch time.

Still celebrating Ghana & USA

reliability and dependability are key

Students must have confidence and trust in our ability to make available food and beverages. A filled stomach spells confidence and tolerates studies better, especially when the classroom and surroundings are not precisely of the Hollywood standard.

the power of children's hope and prayers

Please don't look down on the culture. Most schools observe prayers during morning assemblies and at assemblies before school closes. This early moral compass is essential and akin to psychologists' idea of crucial formative years in a child's life. What you begin with a child tends to become part of that child later in life.

You will notice that these students come from different faiths; We have Muslims, Christians, Traditional Worshippers, etc., and yet all agree that there is one Supreme Being or Force that protects all humans. Please note that the staff is made of individuals from different faith practices, Working harmoniously together. This is unique in Ghana.

student activities

Below are some of our students listening to descriptions when they went on an excursion.

This situation prompted me to send some of my retirement money to be used to purchase books and supplies for the school. Our students greatly appreciate the opportunity to attend a Ghanaian-American school. With your help, we can enroll more students so that they can realize their future and not be a debt to the public.

Our other staffs

One of our two bus drivers (No. 1)

Maneuvering through untarred, pothole-filled, poker-dotting roads with several obstacles and meanders is not easy, so Kudos to Mr. Freeheart Adabrah. for taking our students to and from our school daily. I know one of your greatest wishes is to get a vehicle capable of taking 60-80 students so that you commute to and from school once a day. Please continue to manage multiple shuttles until your wish comes true. Thank you.

Some of our PTA Members

Our Parent teacher Association (PTA) deserve commendation. Through the heat, through rain, and no matter the weather conditions, they make it a point to meet with some staff to discuss issues affecting the school. The welfare of the school is their topmost agendum. They act as liaison between the parents, community and the school. They, and some of the staff members are getting used to our Seattle time, although we receive occasional 3 and 4 am wake up calls.
